185 Drayton Road is a free to attend community skill sharing hub that has been welcoming participants since September 2023. Operated by The Common Lot, the hub offers local people the opportunity to learn and share creative skills to increase social connection, improve wellbeing and enhance personal agency through a varied programme of creative activities and events. We encourage visitors from across the city to the hub, promoting the North of the city as a cultural destination. The venue also serves as an office for the activities of our theatre company.
185 is run by a friendly team of freelance facilitators and artists. Pop in for a cuppa and a chat about how you can get involved!
185 Drayton Road works with a wide range of partners and organisations to deliver it’s activities. We also provide a number of local community organisations and CICs with development support as well as a space to meet.
These include:
Friends of Anderson's Meadow
Friends of Sloughbottom Park
Friends of Wensum Park
Green Hearts
HubL (an English as a Second Language Hub)
Mile Cross Projects and Events Group (MXPEG)
Neurodiverse in Norfolk
Norwich City of Sanctuary Arts Stream

185 is incredibly grateful to our funders including Norwich City Council, Norfolk Community Foundation and Norwich Freemen's Charity.
185 shares the vision and values of The Common Lot.
We follow three principles in all that we do:
• Everyone must benefit
• All contributions are equally valued
• We have what we need (and if we don't, we can find it!)
